Mission: North Africa 2024 (Day 5)

Day 5
)Hello,

This has been a whirlwind of a trip, and Sunday was a wonderful day of rest to abide in the Lord.

We had planned to meet with some girls who are studying English here for dinner, but when we checked with them in the morning, they said they would need to study instead, so we found ourselves with an unexpectedly free schedule.

We got to meet with the M’s in the beauty of God’s creation, singing our praises to him and studying his word as the birds were chirping in the clear air above the smog of the city.

We fellowshipped over lunch, and afterwards got in a much-needed nap to catch up on sleep.  Afterwards, I got to pray for our friends who were studying, asking God to bring them focus and wisdom to know what to study.

Over dinner, us three girls had a heart-to-heart conversation about the worries that had been weighing us down during the trip, and throughout our lives.

It may not have been how we expected our day to go, but it was certainly the day that God knew we needed.  Being rested and closer to my team members, I feel ready to face the challenges of today.

May everything be to God’s glory
Mary
