How it all started...
First Baptist Church of Tecumseh began with 13 charter members in a room of the courthouse on March 5, 1893. Through a turbulent century that saw two World Wars and a Great Depression, FBC Tecumseh grew to over 1200 members in 1979.
Expanding the vision...
A renewed emphasis on missions, both local and away from home, saw hundreds of church members going into the community and all around the world to be a part of expanding the Kingdom of God.
Where we are headed...
We're living in a different culture than we did just 10 years ago. The mission is still the same; FBC Tecumseh is here to Make Disciples. The Good News of Jesus is the message we preach, even if the manner in which we do it is ever-changing.
We will meet people where they are to connect them with Jesus and His church, grow their knowledge and obedience, and lead them to serve through ministry and missions.
