Let's be honest, shepherding the flock is hard work & sometimes lonely work.
* Diligently preparing for a Sunday morning sermon that sometimes feels like no one heard.
* Home, hospital, and nursing home visits.
* Business meetings.
* Administration of the church.
* Discipling new believers.
* Writing Staff evaluations.
* Training up deacons.
* Squashing conflict.
* Counseling a couple on the verge of divorce.
* Preparing for a wedding ceremony and funeral in the same week.
* Community events you need to have a presence at.
* Trying not to neglect your own family in the process.
It's EXHAUSTING! That's why we need HBN Pastor Cohorts!
It's not another event on your calendar, it's an uplifting one hour sabbatical it the midst of it.
We want to see our HBN Pastors come together for encourgement and support. These cohorts will organized regionally so you will get know the other HBN Pastors in your area. Each cohort will meet as local to their churches as possible.
There is no set agenda for each meeting except to pray for one another, read Scipture together, and talk about the highs and lows of ministry.
Every Pastor has something to add to the conversation and we all need encouragement from our Heartland Baptist Brothers-in-Ministry. Even if you don't feel this is benefical to you, you may be the one that can offer the support or encouragement that another Pastor needs that time.
